Is USC in or out of the NCAA Tournament ?

 

if Syracuse is in and SC is out, the East Coast bias is showing its colors, like it has in the past.

 

Out. Got to be better in conference play

 

I think in. It would be the height of bias to have only 3 Pac-12 teams in.

 

We are in. Consider that we didn't lose a game out of conference including wins over SMU (one of their 4 loses) and solid road win against Texas A&M. We beat UCLA once for another quality win and loses against Cal, Utah, and ASU can be explained by missing Boatwright for a month and a half. We should have beaten UCLA again in the tournament had it not been for bad calls late in the game where we only lost by 2 which is good consider we started 1-14 from the field. We outplayed them the rest of the game. The committee would lose credibility if we don't make it.

11 seed play in? That seems kind of harsh with our record.

They factor in who you played (and beat as well).
It helped you played Oregon/UCLA/Arizona all twice, but you didn't beat any of them.

So your best win is SMU,Cornell and BYU?
That SMU win is the only one that will carry enough juice since they were hot heading into the post-season, but Cornell and BYU are not exactly ''good'' wins.

 

Cornell is the greatest 8-21 team ever assembled

 

Wait, I just realized you guys beat UCLA at home.
Well that changes things a lot now.
UCLA and SMU are very good wins, then BYU would be the next best win.

I would have picked USC over Syracuse any day of the week with their resume.

 

I would have picked USC over Duke or North Carolina anytime
