    Or is he just hoping Vavae and Carr will return? He already pissed of Christon Sr, and depth is very thin. I see lots of the RB’s in the portal committing like Wilmore to Utah. There is also the Michigan RB. I know why would a running back with NFL aspirations want to play at USC. Oh well .......

    Why, by telling him the truth that his kid is 30 lbs to 40 lbs lighter than the starting RBs that couldn't pound their way in short yardage situations....

    Malepeai = 220 lbs
    Carr = 215
    Cornhusker Stepp = 235
    Jountti = 215
    Easington = 215
    Christon = 185

    I guess that’s Jink’s minimum requirement for a BLOCKing RB, god forbid that they actually have to run the ball!

    You echo my very point friend! I don't say he should weigh 215 like Carr but 195 could do wonders for him and his DAD'S peace of mind.

    So Christon weighs about the same as Tony Dorsett. Yep. We can't play him.

    It’s not a size or ability issue of our RB’s. It’s the scheme. We have zero run/pro looks. Our tackles never get into three point stances. We never take a snap under center, we have no FB, we try to run power out of the shotgun. “If you give a QB nothing but RPO’s, he’s gonna throw the ball every time”.....

    I am sure there are so many questions you could answer regarding the inners and dysfunction of Helton Ball. I also know this could compromise Jason as well. Perhaps one day after Jason has moved on, you can share.

    Anyone recall how much Reggie weighed at SC when Coach Chow used him & made ESPN highlites all the time? Put him in space KC would be murder on LBs like Reggie.

    If none of these guys mentioned at the weights mentioned could pound the rock in short yardage doesn't it say more about the scheme and playcalling then the players? 10 lbs on Christon wouldn't have made him pound the rock either under those same conditions. It would only slow him down. Use Stepp with a Fullback or have the QB under center in short yardage. Then have designed plays for Christon's skills. Anotherwords try coaching.

    Christon is a nightmare matchup for a DE or LB coming out of the backfield in space. Even if he’s stopped 3 - 4 times, the likelihood of him making the guy miss is real.

    It’s pretty simple. Scheme. Imagine having to put your shoes on every morning without sitting down or bending over to tie them. That’s the run game. It’s still gonna happen, but it’s not gonna be effective or efficient. There’s too many things missing

    Heck I would take the 192 of Dorsett for kenan! but that was a different era; Today's players have SUPER SIZED and are faster,,,
    Wendell Tyler, Walter Payton were 200 pound Dynamos! those were the days,,,

    Perhaps they've reached their level of incompetence? known as the Peter Principle.
    Or could be a bad case of the STUBBORN disease.

    Ohhhhh, preach on preacher. Perhaps we should just put your boy back there behind the QB to block.

    Yeah...they'd get crushed in today's game. You didn't see 265-pound linebackers with 4.40 40-yard speed back then.

    I don't think that's it. It's not about running. I think the main issue with Christon's size and strength is his ability to do adequate pass blocking.

    Why would a good running back come here?

    The best SC running back in 2020 had 238 total yards and was 15th best rusher in the pac 12.
