What's up with Johnny Nansen and Joe DeForest?

Johnny Nansen is listed as inside linebackers coach. Joe DeForest is the outside linebackers coach.

Why do we have two coaches for a position the defense isn't really using? And why can't the two of them coach these guys up in the scheme?

Some of the problems I am not sure you can coach out of them. The awful routs/angles they take are instinct and something you should have learned how to do 10 years before this season ever started.

It looks like he is to small for the mike. He can't shed blocks at all.

It's one thing to be caught on a block and unable to extract yourself. It's an entirely different thing to run yourself up in to traffic in a gap that is already contained, only to watch the running back go through the gap you just abandoned.

Instinctively, Houston is just horrible at reading plays, feeling his way through traffic, breaking down and actually putting his hands on the torso of the runner. Once or twice . . . OK. But 80% of the time, he's out of position, over-runs the play, or fails to break down and get in the path of the runner.

The LB play has been my biggest frustration for the 1st 4 games.

Where is that frosh Goforth? He can’t do worse than the current starters. We need sure tacklers right now. Hufanga is gonna get hurt if he needs to make all these tackles.

Dline is lights out. Just needs the LBs to step up

someone is seeing how our linebackers are playing and doing something about it: opposing offensive coordinators. Other trans must salivate when they watch film of our poor angles, lack of contain and “tackling.”

Sure would have been nice to have Levi Jones and a healthy Solo.

EA likes to hit guys instead of wrapping up and getting them to the ground.
