So for those of us that don't want to sign up for a Bruins board...what are they saying?

I'll say this: this fake news story is actually amusing, because events over the past eight months have totally proven it could happen. The NCAA transfer portal, combined with our university's athletic leadership, have brought us into the world of, "You just can't make this stuff up", reality being stranger than fiction.

Exit quote: "We live in an age in which it is no longer possible to be funny. There is nothing you can imagine, no matter how ludicrous, that will not promptly be enacted before your very eyes, probably by someone well known."

Well, since the Publisher of that site knew Chris Steele was leaving Florida months before anyone else, stuck to his guns about Chris Steele ending up signing with USC even after he commited to Oregon and is referred to by Chris Steele as Uncle, you are more right than you know.

The name “USC Scoop” just has the sound of fake news to it. But if the publisher is standing behind the story and has a history of being correct, then maybe there is some credibility to it.

Quite frankly, it doesn’t worry me at all. If Steele comes here great, happy to have him. If he doesn’t, oh well.

You’re missing the point. Scoop was used to lend credibility to a false story..he never put it out. They just said he did.

Uhm, you do realize Chris Steele has been enrolled for a few weeks?

It was a fake story. Kind of like something The Onion would put out.

I see, I was indeed missing your point. I thought you were saying that a legit news source was actually behind it.

Yes, it’s clearly a fake story. Anymore though, just because Steele has been enrolled doesn’t mean he couldn’t transfer yet again.

Right along there with the unnamed tweet tagging USC sites about a disgruntled player from a clearly fake news site.

Everyone chooses to believe what they want. The funnier the better
