    Ditto. I'll take choice (F) Alex for a $1,000.

Watching what was a once great football program self-destruct in real time is heart breaking. In retrospect, I'm glad that I steered by daughter (who did get accepted) away from attending USC this Fall.

AD Bohn = meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Exactly on point Greg. Thing is, the admin likely thinks we'll all get over it in time so no big deal.

Greg all with you on your article
But I guess like most of us we have some ties to USC and cannot leave.
Best we can do is ignore the football program for awhile 2023?
The basketball program is doing better.

"IMHO, the last 10 years of athletic department decisions pertaining to football have done more damage than the NCAA sanctions."

Love it Greg, calling it like it is.

It's all about the money. The buyout for the whole coaching staff is enormous. The coast avoidance in retaining this staff will offset the losses in ticket revenue. With a business oriented AD What else could it be.?

Greg, thank you for the write up. Ms. Folt and her new pet, Mr Bohn-head must have blinders on or are completely ignorant fools if they missed the football trophies on display ..It feels like I'm watching an episode of The Muppet Show!

I'm throwing my full support behind every one of USC's women's sports. No sense in letting a robust women's program that Haden promised and delivered on go unappreciated.

Fight On Women of Troy! Keep winning those national championships! Someone has to make up for the loss revenue Clay will cost us.

When the going gets tough, the women get going!

    Greg,
Thanks for telling it like it is. I look forward to reading equally candid statements from the rest of the staffers.

    Who likes Coach Helton?

The kids do, and those who pay CCH, but that’s about it.

Regardless, still a kick in the nuts day.

    Fight on,

Bohn is like the captain of the Titanic without knowing there is a huge iceberg in his future. Terrible decision by Folt and Bohn.

Great write up on one of the darkest days in SC football history. We are from the same generation and I have now witnessed the dismantling of our football program to irrelevance
Just heard a report that AD did not contact any potential candidates but instead after a thorough evaluation thought it best to move forward with the current coach
You are correct football is no longer a priority with the university
I feel they are now fielding a team because they have to ..
The new alumni has minimal interest
It was a great run but the show is over
How can team be better next year with the same clueless guy in charge ..
Your comments earlier in the year that there would be a return to glory ring very hallow today
Sorry that you have to report on this garbage

It is a cold slap in the face for us loyal Trojans. A big F You. Our devotion to our football tradition means nothing to these outsiders. They cannot be trusted. We thought they had our best interests in mind. Who are these people? Helton could be here for a long time.

Why didn’t we just keep Lynn Swann?
At least he was a Trojan

    Outstanding column.

But are we all reduced to howling at the moon?

I loved this line, one of many great ones in your column:

"Both Bohn and Folt proved without much shadow of a doubt, IMHO, that all their talk of winning national championships was about as hallow as Clay Helton’s yearly pronouncements that his teams were going to be balanced offensively, physical, and disciplined. "

If we hear the word "championship" one more time from one of these three clowns, we'll snap.
