Nice article Greg, it seems with all these changes FCS scheduling, no Salute to Troy, the loss of JR, many of the things we have become accustomed and taken for granted are now becoming memories of the past. I understand change is inevitable, but we are losing things that made us a once proud football program driven by tradition. It is also hard not to associate all these changes with Swann. I know you are already accused of being a pessimist, but the you cannot refute the actions of the university and our AD! We can only hope this season is full of promise on the football field.
    Fight On!

Well, if you are a Trojan.... You take on faith, you take it to the heart.

Actually a lot of those lyrics are eerily applicable here. Maybe not the way they were intended when they were written exactly...but

Don't it feel like something from a dream
Yeah I've never known nothing quite like this
Don't it feel like tonight might never be again
We know better than to try and pretend
Baby no one could'a ever told me 'bout this

I feel like Ed O hiring Robinson is sort of a cheap shot. I'm not happy about the way he was dismissed from here. But, this is a bit like that creep Mora constantly hiring anyone from USC just to twist the knife.

Little of the past left. Wondering if old faces in my section make the jump to new Coli. Last season a bunch stayed at home & gave up longtime seats

Who made the decision to add 3 FCS games and will he/she be @ USC when the games are played? I guess we're scheduling UC Davis because Humboldt State has dropped football?

Getting rid of JR was sort of a low blow by the admin.
They waste so much money yet do not have it for anything worthwhile.
Perhaps it is time for changes.

TrojanHorse, I don't think you can make that call unless you're an amazing mind reader. Perhaps Coach O is friends with Robinson? I think that's a more likely possibility because it's rooted in the fertile soils of familiarity rather than your speculation. Your take would greatly sadden me because it would show Ed Orgeron hasn't grown as a human being and chooses to be vindictive against USC instead? I think he has grown and all recent signs seem to support that. I beg to differ with your opinion. I've italicized the word recent as a preventive strike towards one certain Coach O hater suffering from ODS - Orgeron Derangement Syndrome : )

Dismissed is a euphemism for what really happened. JR was disgracefully fired, his season tickets were taken away, and this dedicated man was shown the door. That too is a cheap shot by USC admin and those within HH towards a legend. It’s shameful and though Ed O’ timing is calculated, who can blame him for helping JR save face?
