Helton's perfect for Bohn. He can keep him around and let everyone else assume it's because of Gomer's contract/buyout, or because of the BOT, or COVID, or whatever else....It gives him 2-4 extra years on the take, raking in all those extra 'SC millions before he has to make an actual decision and hire a coach of his own. He knows all too well that once he hires a coach of his own he is on the clock, with a screwup sending him back to the minor leagues where the paychecks have a hell of a lot less zeros. Like I said, this has the potential to buy him 2-4 extra years in the ivory tower, so he will milk this baby for all that it is worth.

 

I would have given it to the person that deserved it Slovis. Folt and Bohnerino did not throw a pass.
