I am excited to see Hufanga take another step forward this year. Any idea if the new d would make sense to move hufanga up as a linebacker sort of like sua?

love that guy!!! But no, I think “don’t mess with success”. He’s on the verge to make AA next year, and we have a shit-ton of LBs ready to break out. Solo, EA, Mauga, McClain, Ray Scott (if he goes back to LB), Iosefa, Echols, and Falaniko are all going to be better and some of them are on the verge to break out as stars.

Talanoa Hufanga is a Great FB Player. Wish we had more players like him. TH will end up as one of USC’s all time best players. TH is one of my most favorite Trojans. He is old school like former great safeties: Ronnie Lott, Troy Palomalu, Dennis Smith, Charles Phillips, Joey Browner, Mike Battle, Artimus Parker, Dennis Thurman, Tim McDonald, Cleveland Colter, Sammy Knight, Jason Sehorn, Kevin Ellison, Sua Cravens.

...or they could end up being another set of UDFAs, which has been the norm for disappointments we've seen under Clay who has built a track record for not developing players to reach their full potential. As you already know USC had zero defensive players drafted in 2020. On the positive side USC has no where to go but up. We'll see my good man, we'll see
    : )

hes had enough injuries as a safety, no need to have him deal with more linemen blockers.. SC needs him to make plays in space...
