He plays the recruiting game close to the vest, and will not take his official visits until after the HS season in December and January. He has commented, though, that SC is one of his top schools. Here are my comments on Jackson from the The Opening - LA Regional in March: https://wearesc.com/forum/index.php?threads/more-thoughts-on-the-opening-defensive-recruits.51155/ He's from an SC family. He seemed far superior to Kessler, who I did see. Tough to judge a player when team is so superior to opponent. He seemed more advanced than other SC commits and recruits.

Anything is better than nothing, but whomever was operating the camera on those shots is apparently new to the job. He was absolutely exhausted after that last pick. But he didn't go down --- he stayed on his feet and found that last little bit of burst he needed to score that third TD. Reminds me of Cam Smith's game against Utah a couple of years ago. If they keep throwing it into your hands, keep scoring TD's until they stop.

Not saying DJ looked bad in the games but he definitely didn’t look like the all world QB everyone seems to think he is. His real test will come again against MD this season and their loaded defense. In two games last season against Mater Dei, probably the best team in the country, DJ Uiagalelei was: (32-53) for 429 yards and 4 TDs, 0 Ints. Against other top teams (Rancho Cucamonga and Centennial) he was: (43-62) for 647 yards and 7 TDs, 1 Int So in four games against the top teams in the state, he was (75-115) for 1,076 yards and 11 TDs, 1 Int. For a SOPHOMORE, I'm going to go ahead and say those are All World numbers. Indeed, another test will occur against MD this season. I think DJ will be ready. If he's considered a dual-threat then he needs to get that out of his head. Command the pocket, learn everything about reading defenses, and run when it's there. USC does not develop their dual-threat talent nor will they commit to it. The fact speaks for itself.

Trojan QB commit Bryce Young has run the ball (8) times in two games . . . he's not trying to run the ball either. Those are not "dual threat" numbers. Watch these kids play . . . they both know what they're doing in the pocket. LDIABootney, USC92, PasadenaTrojan and 2 others like this.

With a cannon arm.....with two years to go. He’s not a dual threat, where’d that come from? He’s just a big boy who is relatively hard to take down....for many high school guys. He’s can roll and move, but he’s not going to make his hay running. He’s big time.
