Chris Kleiman 5-2 (first season in the Big 12) Beat TCU last week #5 Oklahoma 7-0 today. BTW TCU beat Texas today.

    Coaching record:
    77-15
    18-1 in playoffs
    He's a defensive coach:
Makes 2.8 million a year (underpaid)

This is the next Tom Herman/ Urban Meyer. Gotta strike while the Iron's hot.

Haha. Big guys in oversized XXXXL sweatshirts make great DL coaches.

    Question
Who is doing the best job of coaching this year
I do not know the names but coach at Minnesota has Gophers 8-0 and Louisville coach has really improved a program that had hit rock bottom
That being said Meyer is a proven elite coach .. he may have baggage but that baggage includes multiple national titles

Will our BOT eat Max’s ego extension of Clay?

PJ Fleck is killing it at Minnesota right now, as he did at his previous two schools. Satterfield did well at Appalachian St, he has the same record as us so far in his first year at Louisville.

Satterfield needs to show a little more yet before I’d be interested in hiring him, but Fleck or Klieman (or Rhule at Baylor) I’d go after immediately. Like C&G said, you have to strike while the iron is hot, or someone else will.

    Rhule at Baylor excellent choice.

I gotta believe a team like Tennessee makes a run at Kleiman the min they fire thier coach.

Rhule signed that contract extension though. Contracts can be broken but how much would SC have to offer for Rhule to consider?

Crazy how Baylor, and not Texas and Oklahoma, is the last Big12 team that is undefeated.

Coach O doesn't look in the rear view mirror. He's loving life now in company with JR and BKU.

I think that’s 3 very good candidates. Proving it’s not Urban or bust. And with those 3 they are 2 steps further along as proven Head Coaches so I have no logical reasoning but think Jimmy Lake will be better at SC than those 3 would. Star power and PAC 12 knowledge.....

    HC- Urban
    AHC- Niumatalolo navy hc
    OC- Beau Baldwin Cal oc
    OL- Aaron Best EWU hc
    DC- JimmyLake
    DL- Joe Salave’a Oregon AHC

He will be definitely an improvement. But instead of a potential next Urban Meyer I rather we get the real deal if he is available.

Hard no on Baldwin. cal fans would be cheering more about that than Husky fans when we hired Sark.

Logical but since we are SC now PC we will pick a want a be. Hope I’m wrong but won’t be surprised to see Coli half filled for years.

I think its too early to anoint Kleiman as the next superstar head coach after only 7 games in Division 1. That was a great win against OU. It proves his team can score points but not play defense.

I guess I got he and Leslie mixed up in another thread. K-State is vastly improved and CK has them really playing well.
I’d take a coach like this in a heartbeat.

If you can coach, you can coach. What he did at North Dakota stands on its own, regardless of the level of play. Their run at the top of their league was unbelievingly great.

I'd take him in a heartbeat.
