What a tool. I can’t bring myself to ever listen to him anymore. It’s the same old politician talk every time he opens his mouth. A lot of words but says absolutely nothing.

“Resumes, resumes, resumes...” the son of OLine coach should run for a position in politics. He should also buy at least one lottery ticket every time he collects a paycheck from USC; he’s so lucky to still have a job!!

Edit: BTW, did anybody notice that line “Resumes, resumes, resumes...” almost sounds like Gomer Pyle’s “surprise, surprise, surprise...” line in the sitcom?

With the money that he has made on his ridiculous contract, he shouldn't need a lottery ticket. He has already hit the lottery.

What, I take it you guys don't like Clay Helton? Gosh, never knew that...you should be posting that more--maybe they'll fire him then.

One has to genuinely respect and admire the loyalty shown by this board's Helton sycophants. They have exhibited far more toward him than he ever has to his assistants.

Wasn't true before as Maria let the cat out of the bag, Bless her heart!
The kid went under the knife and with SC less than Crack medical staff, it might take him a year to fully recover...

As a loyal USC fan, it is therapeutic to trash his underperforming @$$.

I had a vanilla latte this AM, which is more interesting than a Helton presser. I don't listen to him anymore, he's irrelevant. Wake me when a new HC arrives in 2-5 years.

So coach how does you feel knowing that Bohn has taken over all hiring decisions from you because you are essentially an administration puppet?

Don’t know how a coach like Helton got to be a HC at USC.
It seems like more of an accident as Helton never was a HC before USC
And his hires and decisions showed even though with highly rated players.
Helton is a used car salesman
He sold the ADs for sure

No accident and no used cars got sold. Pat Haden didn't want to go through a search, Helton was willing to work cheap, and Max Nikias wanted the football program off the front page for as long as possible. It was the perfect shit storm. No need to intellectualize it beyond that.

    This.
And I’m sure I’m not the only one that at the time felt that finally ‘having an adult in the room’ after cutty sark and lane train was a somewhat sensible move. But now 5yrs on and Groundhog Day nightmare has still got some miles on the clock
