Score one for the half-pint system QB, Murray. Jamelle Holieway was better though.

It's unbelievable how many college graduates do not know how to use the word "alumnus."

"Alumnus is used to refer to a male graduate or formerstudent. Alumni is the plural of alumnus but can also be used to refer to a group of men and woman graduates/formerstudents. Alumna is used to refer to a woman graduate orformer student. Alumnae is the plural of alumna."

You, sir, are a USC alumnus, we are USC alumni.

I don’t mind. Nothing wrong with doing things right.

I go with “alum” and avoid the problem.

Nothing wrong with being intelligent, articulate and well-spoken. That's the mark of a Trojan. He's right: people whose job it is to stand in front of a camera and speak for a living should know how to speak the language correctly.

YES, and we need to change all the banners to reflect the truth, not this PC bullshit concocted by the NZAA Nazis. The athletes won on the field of play with their blood sweat and tears and our countless hours and dollars of support. TO HELL WITH THE NZAA.

Now Kyler is in hot water for tweets made when he was 14 years old. Apparently he referred to some of his friends as "queers".

Tide has 2. Mark Ingram and Derrick Henry. Is Oklahoma now QB U with 4 QB Heisman winners?

Guarantee that those blasting him have said a lot worse in their time. I can probably count on my one hand the number of boys at that age (and girls I might add) who have used that word.... probably overestimating....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the oddity (and hypocrisy) in all this is that the Heisman Trust is outside the control of the NCAA and does not need to follow any decision made by the NCAA. The hypocrisy of it all is that the Trust would even weigh in on this given the collective group of Heisman winners. I mean really, is Bart Starr retuning his Heisman for his "offenses" back in the day??? And none of these players ever received any extras when they played, right? *cough*
