With the transfer of two big front court players the C and PF gets thin. And SF and SG is thin
There are now a lot of PGs
With Porter most likely going to the pros the team needs some shooters big time
Team balance has always been a problem

Players have to stay and develop.

But (3) elite front court players and two shooting guards (London and Sturdivant) coming in the Fall.

    Don't we also return:
    Mathews, O'Bannon, Thornton
Obviously very guard heavy - maybe we can bring in Paul Westphal and run the old LMU offense. It would be exciting, at least.

Thornton is as good as gone. We have Rak, COB, Mathews and Weaver coming back. Gotta get a couple grad transfers at the wing and forward

Hank Gathers was a hell of a player.
    What a tragedy

Hank Gathers and Bo Kimble - SC had them both on the team but when Raveling replaced Stan Morrison, he gave the players an ultimatum which wasn't met. After their scholarships were revoked, they transferred to LMU.
SC basketball has had windows of opportunity to build something, but they always mess it up.

Rich Grande was the fourth player to hold out but broke away from the other three and returned to the Trojans. Odd episode in Trojan athletics.
