    Exactly.

Leinart was 37-2, 2 plays from 39-0 and three NCs, not on the list?

oh,, and no defensive players in the top 11.....how is that even possible?

I think you are the 2nd person to say "no defensive player"... Butkas is defense. He is the only one in top 11, but a defensive player no doubt.

That list is a complete joke. The most arbitrary list ever and based on NFL name recognition. Leinart doesn’t even rate top 150? Tommie Frazier at 97? Did they ever actually watch him play football. He’s one of the top 5 I ever saw.

    No Steve Emtman?

Total joke. McCaffery? I didn’t see Warren Moon either, could be wrong there.

    Thorpe and Grange played defense.

Out of the top 11 my biggest gripe is Bo Jackson at number 3. His legend grew from his pro exploits, his commercials and his video game character.
I know the argument against Griffin, but he does have 2 Heismans.... as decorated as any college player ever. Don't think he should be 4 but top 11 is acceptable. No Leinart is the biggest snub. USC did have the most players on the list with 9. I also would put Yary in before Munoz.

    Idiot

AD was the the real winner in 74
    Muncie in 75
The guy only has 26 TDs in his career

    Grange was a halfback.

Thorpe played both ways, but was known for his offense.

No need to put down xuscx when he was simply stating the fact that probably got Griffin on the list. I agree that AD had a better year and was deserving of the Heisman in 74, but that's not what happened.

The 2nd Heisman vote was before AD's game against ND

Jim Brown was no way the best college player of all time. Best athlete? Sure why not but his college career was decent, but not earth shattering.

The whole list is a joke.

I'm surprised they didn't put the Goodyear Blimp in the top 25.
