Game thread -- USC vs ASU

Because ASU's three stars generally outplayed USC's four and five stars along the line. Had the ASU receivers been any good at all, ASU would have maintained their two touchdown lead. And, you have the profound stupidity shown at times by Trojan players, like an idiot defensive back grabbing a receiver and pulling him down in the open field on a third and very long. USC players lead the NCAA in stupid plays. There's no way to get around that.

 

What exactly did Helton do to cause the turnovers? He isn't a running backs coach. He was a qb coach, and about the only one escaping criticism in this debacle is his QB.

 

It was an NFL throw and NFL catch by two future NFL players. If USC didn't have those two, where would they be?

 

It blows my mind that we have 4-5 stars that play like 2 stars...it doesn’t matter who we recruit. They won’t improve as long as Helton is still the coach

 

Sloppy play seems to follow Clay. Different assistant coaches and players, but still yielding the same results. Clay is the common denominator.
