I thought he threw as they say "easy gas," almost effortless but then everyone said he had a dangerous motion, prone to injury. Jake Peavy comes to mind as someone who has a dangerous motion but Mark's never looked as wacky as Peavy's. Bad fortune, all around.

Pitchers are always a worry about their arms.

Prior would have been a super pitcher without arm problems.

Reminds me of another SC pitcher who looked like a super star in the making when he blew his shoulder out. Steve Busby with Kansas City he won 22 one year and 19 the next before injury. This was before arthroscopic surgery so he had surgery the old way. He came back after surgery but was not the same pitcher. Instead of winning 20 he would win 10 or 11.

Prior is the best collegiate pitcher I have ever seen! His duel at USC in the regionals vs Pepperdine & Haren was one for the ages. Moon hit the HR to win it for us! Yes he threw with a very fluid & natural delivery. It's a shame he was injury prone.....
