Barely. Unless he's really good I don't think it makes much sense. All of the SC receivers are young.

Nixon runs 4.38 and would probably play Tyreek Hill type WR. Having both Nixon and Bryant on the field would open things up

It all depends on how he is used. If we can design plays and game plan to take advantage of Nixon's speed, I would say this is a net positive addition to the WR group. And yet it's the Harrell-and-Helton show, so they'll no doubt maximize his talents in the same way they've maximized Christon's, which is to say not at all.

If Nixon emerges as a legit threat on KO and/or PR duties, that may be the best we can hope for.

Doubtful if he runs a 10.7 for the 100m.

All very good points, but it shows Helton’s major flaw in recruiting, over recruiting in one position while neglecting major areas of need. Which brings me back to the most important question of how many open scholarships do we have left if a position of need has interest in transferring to our program.
    Fight On!

Great point. A few others have said similar. The overwhelming bias against Helton blinds may others to look at this or anything else objectively.

Based on the video, he reminds me of some of those short stocky speedsters the Quacks have had in the past. Used properly, he’s got to be a plus...IMHO

Nixon is no doubt anxious to be on the receiving end of passes from Kedon Slovis.

    Those of y'all complaining.
I would like to see how you would parcel out the scholarships.
Mind you this isn't the NFL, there's 85 scholarships on a team.
So how many QB's, RB's and each position.
Mind you the offense that's being ran and the defense as well.
Also keep in mind walk ons don't count against the 85.

Yes, there's only 85 scholarships. So by the logic of some here, we should take any and all 5* talent or speed. Even if it is at a position we have numbers at. With limited scholarships available and no experience at LT, limited LB's, and RB'S we really should be addressing those needs. We have a speedy WR in Bryant. We have speed in Christon. We don't have anyone to protect our QB'S blindside.

I suppose there's no LT who wants to come so they are taking other players but why at a position that we have players waiting to play? These players will only get mad about another year of not playing and then transfer. Why not fill other positions of need and not chase more players off?

Also have to factor in the time-on-campus quotient. Dixon is here for one year; the incoming 3 WRs can redshirt, and Ford and McClain are not sure things by any means.

Dixon is 25lb heavier than Christon, was rated higher as a recruit, is solid catching and slippery after the catch. Christon has blazing straightline speed, but tell me which game you saw where Christon shook off a tackler and/or juked a defender out of his cleats. I'm sure CCH, OCGH, and RBCMJ are failing to develop and maximize Christon's potential, but the jury is still out that the kid can even do the things you guys claim the coaches should be letting him do.

I'll go ahead and say it: Christon's ceiling is becoming a shorter Sultan McCullough. McCullough was an UDFA; Nixon's potential is 3rd-5th round pick.

Guys, Nixon is a no-brainer pick-up, even for a no-brain offensive coaching staff.

KDNixon came out of high school weighing 170-180.....and by all reports now is 190.

So, unless KC is 165 lbs., I’m not buying your downgrade on him.
