LOL. Nightmare scenario for Jack. But on the positive side Jack already knows the 4 plays that Harrell has in his scheme.

Coach Chow at his age might take a short term job. He has a track record of producing O & string of record breaking QBs. Ask Carson & Matt. Knew how to use running backs, Lendale , Reggie. Only problem, Clay would have trouble understanding his chess master. GarryP told me he considered Chow the finest playcaller ever at SC

lol..."short term" most likely because of being on death's doorstep...the man would be 75 by the time the season started. Not suggesting he's too old to coach, just don't think he's the answer to what we need. Perhaps as a consultant to audit the scheme and give suggestions, but I hardly picture Chow flying around the country recruiting and hashtagging w/ recruits.

Some things are better left in the past...I'm all stocked up on Monte Kiffins.

While I’d be over the moon if this happened, it’d be tempered by the knowledge that Doughboy would just hire a lesser version of GH to run an even worse air raid.

Longevity is friend with Chow's bloodlines, the man will probably see his mid 90's. Harrell and his arrogance wouldn't give Chow's wisdom the time of day.
Harrell suffers from the curse of youth, he know it all!! bless his heart,,,

Boise State is a phenomenal job.

    1. Boise State Idaho is one of the fastest growing states In America. It's ranked everywhere as one of the safest, places to live and raise a family.
    2. It's the only game in town you have the full support of the community.
    3. The Boise State program is one of the Most respected smaller conference teams in the country. So you will get good bowl games.
    4. It's the perfect spot for a guy like Graham Harrell to get his feet wet. He could easily win 9-10 games and the division every year without the pressure. 2-3 loses a year there gets you the keys to the city. 2-3 loses a year at a Blue Blood school get's you thrown out on your @$$ in 3 years. Well almost everywhere but @ USC.
    4. The Boise State job has proven to be the spring board to bigger gigs. It's a win win position. Learn your craft while you audition for a Blue Blood gig.
    5. WR's and QB's galore. Boise state never has issues recruiting these players. Everyone wants to play on that Blue Turf.

It's a perfect match. So naturally Graham Harrell will turn it down and stick with Clay Helton. He can't think more than 5 plays ahead just like his playbook.

Seems like only yesterday we were worried Tee Martin would leave for a HC position...awww, simpler times!

Harrell will unfortunately not get this gig. He lacks head coaching experience and he is not part of the Bronco family. Plus Broncos can run the ball and that just not who he is....

Chow was recently coaching the Los Angeles Wildcats as their OC just a year ago in the XFL. I talked to him as we were eating at the same restaurant. He maybe 98, but he still looks good and probably can still coach. We were talking about the PC days and he holds no animosity to Pete. All he said was Pete made us a lot of money!
    Fight On!

I'm sure the mind is still there, and as I mentioned, he'd be a fantastic consultant to review the offense and provide suggestions. Don't think he'll have the energy/ambition to recruit, relate and drive the young kids to get them where they need to be.

Then again, I wondered how Coach Snyder did what he did at 78...but you can hide a HC's shortcomings w/ assistants. We've tried the Monte Kiffin thing, we should try a different direction.

Who would have ever been "worried" about Tee Martin leaving?
I, for one, wanted him gone by his second game as an OC.

I love Coach Chow but I think his best days as a coach are behind him.
