Mo Hasan is now on scholarship, so USC has four scholarship quarterbacks. Ultimately I think USC is still okay at the position. If Slovis goes down, I don't know how much difference there is between Fink and Hasan. And this way the two incoming freshmen likely get more pressure reps.

Losing Fink is tough from the standpoint of everything he brought to the team and the program. Really happy for him that he got that Utah game. He deserved it.

That's a bummer. I hate to lose Matt. I hope he goes some place where he will with reas0nable certainty start, like Azusa Pacific right in his home town.

I remember leaving the Coli that night, walking back to the car. I had never experienced so many crestfallen opposing fans at a FB game. I tried to engage with some of them. Most were completely silent, and wouldn’t be consoled. Great moment. Wishing Matt all the success he’s worked for in the private sector. FIGHT ON!!!!

I believe retiring. The door is open for his return if he chooses.

I wish Matt all the best moving forward in life and in his chosen career but can't wait to see Miller Moss and Jaxon Dart mix it up in Spring Ball. One of them is the future of USC football and there's no better time for that than right now.

At least not until he’s eligible for the NFL Hall of Fame.

The SI article indicates he's retiring. He has both his Bachelor and Masters form USC. He's tired of the grind of football, is not a pro candidate and is ready to get his real life started. Fight On! Matt.

I can't "Like" the post but only because Matt will be missed. He's been a great Trojan. Thanks Matt; Fight On!

With a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from USC, Fink is ready to enter the workforce. He recognized he's not going to be a starter in the NFL, or maybe even get a backup NFL QB job. With 5 years in the program, he's had the experience and is at least 23 years old presumably. What is he going to do besides play football, enter a PhD program? Get a second master's degree?

With the good will he has built up
with the Trojan family, let's hope he gets a great job and joins us in the stands.

Cheering for Matt Fink as he enters the real world. Fight on fellow USC grad!

I'm sure Matt Fink will do great in whatever endeavors he pursues. Earning two degrees while also keeping up with the demands of playing football ain't easy. Having him as a capable and steady fill-in has certainly made life easier for Trojans both on the field and in the stands.

Fight On, Matt Fink! Wish you had gotten more opportunities when we were playing more RPO but it's tough when greatness (i.e. Darnold) blocks your path to being on the field.

That Utah game was a classic. Not only is it a great memory for Matt; it's a great one for all of us Trojan fans too.
