espn Radio (National) on Rose Bowl: Only Penn St. Mentioned BlueBlood Junior Member Joined: Aug 24, 2017 Messages: 2,155 Likes Received: 1,754 Dec 6, 2016 #1 Caught a CFB Bowl/Playoff preview on the radio last night. To espn's credit, they spent about as much time discussing the Rose Bowl as either of the Playoff games. But that, alas, is where the credit ends. They discussed Penn. St's great run of successive wins; Penn St.'s great QB; Penn St.'s great running back; and Penn St.'s great win against Wisconsin in the B1G CG. Not. One. Word. About. USC. I hope espn and the media keep this up everyday btw now and the game. Seriously. I want our Trojans to enter the historic Rose Bowl with plenty to prove. I'll never forget the hack-job espn did in building up USC, everyday, on and on, over and over, leading to the Rose Bowl against Texas. Did us no favors. Now, hopefully they'll pump up the overrated Nittany Lions daily! FIGHT ON!

That comeback in the Conference Championship game was terrific, but we saw that all the time when Wilcox was our DC as well......

"Our favorite team in this game, Ped State, was not motivated to play in the Rose Bowl because they felt they deserved to be in the cfp."

At worst, they'll say USC was paying Bush and his family. They will ignore what the California Court of Appeal determined, after hearing the actual evidence: "as Johanningmeier acknowledged in his deposition, without a finding against McNair, no penalties could have been instituted against USC for Bush’s receipt of improper benefits." "the ensuing COI report was worded in disregard of the truth to enable the COI to arrive at a predetermined conclusion that USC employee McNair was aware of the NCAA violations." In other words, the NCAA knew it had to find McNair responsible in order to sanction USC, so the COI lied in its report so it could hammer SC. I guess that doesn't fit the media's narrative.

Penn State was in the national discussion about the CFP and was in the best conference championship game of the weekend. USC's last two games ended up being after thoughts due to ND and UGLY being absolutely terrible, along with USC being unable to get in the Pac 12 championship game. I'm sure the Vegas line has them thinking Penn State vs the world as well. The discussion will even out as the game gets closer.
