A very ignorant assumption, but the wording of the piece makes me believe that he is being pushed out.

As for the OP, this would make sense to open up a spot for Ellis.
I have made a semi-theory that he should be eyeing Memphis.
Wisemann and Hampton reclassifying (even though “rumors” say Kansas is in a good spot), paired with the big name of Penny at coach?
Yeah that would be a good destination for a prospect looking to be a OND in a conference like the AAC.

One of Enfields best qualities is he appears to be very straight forward with players. I see it as the best situation for both sides. It appears there is a strong market for Thorton, he did not fit in with the Enfield system How many times do we hear Enfield say share the ball, even Porter got it in the end

Hopefully this means that there is a replacement on the way.

Wouldn't Elijah Weaver gobble up his minutes?

Might not be a replacement this year, could just be opening a spot for the 2020 class

Boogie to Memphis. Good luck to him.

Looks like we're all in on Weaver + the freshmen. Let's go.

I don’t think you need another replacement.

You have a sophomore PG in Weaver returning.
Why not just give him the keys and turn him loose?

This is essentially his team now and he has LOTS of new toys to play with, let the kid go.
    I don’t see a need to find a replacement..
