All of those wins and CWS trips and major league stars - definitely time for Mike to move on. After all, anyone can win at SC. Just ask those who followed him... Savage, as in Mike's former assistant?

In fact, it's unlikely Savage would have accepted the job. I dream of the day when USC hires a professional athletic director instead of an ex jock.

What does Gillespie getting fired have to do with the recruits Savage got at ucla? SC didn't offer Savage the managers job. Instead they offered it to Gillespie's son in law Kreuter. Another mistake. I do agree the MG's handling of the baseball program was dismal.
