I don't know who the recruit is but I'm curious. Why do you think he flipped? Which of the position group do we have that is getting great coaching and is playing so well right now? Did this recruit flip because USC is going to get him better coaching or because they are luckily 3-0 and the Ducks lost already? Anotherwords he can't make up his mind.

 

What does this have to do with Helton sucking?

 

We aren't playing as bad as people on this board wish we were. You would think we are getting blown out every game if you read the threads on this board. Its like our own "fans" are trying to negatively recruit against the team

You do know how this is going to end. Half a dozen of these guys will never play get frustrated and end up in the transfer portal. So that's another 6 wasted Scholorships.

We play down to our competition and allow teams to hang around. We never blow teams out. Never any 63 - 3 games for us. I'd settle for 27 - 0.

And if that SOB Helton is "too nice a guy" to blow another team out, he needs to get on the next bus to Paducah.

 

It helps tremendously when Alabama and Notre Dame are cancelled. How would recruits look at USC if they lost by 2 or 3 touchdowns or even worse?

Losing to those teams by only 2 or 3 touchdowns would be a moral victory. More likely Bama would beat us by 40 or more depending on when Nick Satan called the dogs off. It is just a reality that we have a poorly coached finesse team. A bubble top 25 team at best with some decent skill players. We can win a close game against even worse PAC schools but any physical, elite playoff-level team would destroy us.

I know right! We played even with the AZ schools and put a pounding on a decimated Utah team. That's worth something. That's Trojan football right there.

How can some people be so critical. We've only had +4 years of Helton's coaching as a sample size. We need to give him more time. I mean... other coaches have gone on to win NCs or maybe just several conference championships in that time... but those are other schools. We are SC and 1-3 in bowl games is ok too. Winning the PAC used to be the expectation, but now just winning the South is our goal. And getting blown out by every blue blood program we play including Ohio St, Texas, ND, and Alabama all in that time just happens sometimes. That's the game. Honestly, we aren't playing as bad as some people say. Who needs wins when we have warriors.

 

It is more like us fans are trying to get Helton fired. With these great recruits that come to USC and a true or proven HC we should be in the Playoffs every year.

A watered-down schedule without Alabama, or ND on it won’t expose this fraud (Clay). Moral victories are great, but they don’t hand out NC trophies for moral victories. ASU, UA, and Utah are a combined 0-6 W-L record...
