They don't play Oregon or Washington, so they're home free if they beat us.

Of course winning the Pac 12 South Division in 2018 won't exactly go down as one of college football's great accomplishments. But it will earn them a beatdown in Santa Clara on a Friday night in December.

Colorado will lose the next 2 games...I'm pretty confident about that.

They play wazzu and the utes still too, along with the other teams already mentioned. I have much less faith in the buffs than the OP.

On paper, we should be heavy favorites against the Buffs...coming off a bye, so two weeks to prepare and get healthy. Yeah, I know, famous last words. All those physical practices last week and all. smh

My mistake. They don't play Oregon or Stanford.

We're going to beat the buffs on Saturday and we still have good chance to finish 8-4.

I don't think we lose to Colorado. As much as they are improved, and it seems we are not, I still think there is too much talent on this team to beat the Buffs. They may think this is their first opportunity to beat SC, I just don't see it happening.

The Utah game, however, that's a different story.

    Since 1955

USC is 57-17-1 following a bye week. 6 losses were to 'ruins.
59-17-1 when adding back the sanction penalties.

    All-Time after a bye USC is 96-46-4 and w/o sanctions is 98-46-4

Sounds like a good bet from a historical context USC will beat the Ralphies.

I will be interested in seeing if USC can play consistent enough to play to there potential. If they don’t and lose, this should be the beginning of the end of Helton.

You know the old saying ‘ give Clay Helton two weeks to prepare and’ ... he might practice once

The question is do we have the discipline not to make mistakes?

We have been asking the same question since last season and nothing has changed. How many times can we ask the same question

ND's bye the week prior to facing us at home last year basically guaranteed their win.

Colorado will lose 2 or 3 games maybe more starting with this Saturday. How do I know they will lose; because that's what we as a conference do. We get a few teams in the top 10 or 20, then we get all of us lined up in a circular firing squad and shoot each other. Happens every year. But hey Larry Scott says parity in the PAC-12 is the most important thing. Idiot.

I agree Jay, that is a huge factor...discipline. One which applies to both players and coaches.

It would not be a bad thing if we could win our out of conference games.
