The Police Tribute is publishing the times of events as they unfold in Portland. Most of the peaceful protestors have gone home when the violence occurs. As I posted earlier, the event at the Police Center was declared unlawful by the police after 1:30am.

But, if you examine Portland and Seattle, the demonstrations are confined to a very small area of the city. As you pointed out in a separate post, the Pearl District is untouched and the druggies in Old town are unaffected.

According to a complaint filed by the ACLU, the average response time by the police in the inner city is 4x longer than in a white community. The slower response times are not simply a result of apathy or officers being busy elsewhere. The slow response time is the result of decades of poor planning and maintenance of the inner cities.

As example, the 710 & 110 Freeways have fewer off-ramps for the housing areas south of Downtown LA. In 1947, the 105 was planned to provide access to the Compton Area. But, the city planners didn't open the freeway until 1993. So, how did the failure of the city affect all aspects of living in the Compton area from the end of WWII until 1993?

My point being you can have racism without any having any adverse feelings or beliefs about a group of people.

What does your comment have to do with race. Those families with the least education, wealth, and income are most likely to be single parent households.

You are suggesting that all blacks don't care if blacks kill blacks? You understand how racist that comment is?

Blacks do commit more crime, that is an undeniable fact. Stating that fact is NOT racist. 63% of robberies and 51% of murders are committed by roughly 6% of the population...black males.

Systemic racism does not exist, it's another made up gotcha phrase. Like Democratic Socialism and Assault Rifle. In 2019, 10,000,000 arrest were made. 1004 were killed by police. 41 were unarmed. 9 were black. Those are the facts that blow up BLMs BS narrative and PROVE they don't give two shits about the black community. There goal is far more sinister.

The issues in the inner cities stem from bad decision making and black Democrat politicians who haven't done a thing for them in 60 years. Starting with fathers not caring for the children that are having. Those kids will find the father figure they desperately crave on the streets.

The only racism we have in this country are from the Democrats intentionally keeping blacks on the Gubment Plantation with empty promises....solely because they need them for votes.

It *is* a circular argument. It's also wrong. "Disadvantaged" is a meaningless term. They commit more crime because, culturally, poorer choices are encouraged. Does that make it less circular? Maybe not, but circular doesn't mean wrong, either.

Not if the police aren't allowed to use effective tools.

With the proper tools, absolutely. Because the majority of the pubic aren't out there, and don't believe in the violence and destruction we're all seeing. They're sitting at home, being peaceful. Your movement is smaller that you're implying. As for labeling, the label doesn't make a difference. It's the leftist assholes that do, and their choice to be violent and destructive.

    Yes, you can.

This tack of yours is an old argument, and it's utter bullshit.

What *you* can't argue is that people who behave differently should expect the same outcomes. White people don't make other people make different choices. Racism doesn't either, nor does race. They do that on their own.

You're conflating different subjects. The "label" you're referring to is is a descriptive term applied to *behavior*, and the people it's being applied to are a bunch of pasty-assed leftist and anarchist *white* nutbags who, in addition to being violent people, are also as poorly informed and as incapable of wisdom as, well, your entire family.

Here's a tip for you pasty-assed morons allegedly engaging in "peaceful" protests: if you don't like a label that isn't even being applied to you, stop associating with the people whose behavior it is being applied to.

Seriously, how do you people survive the day with retarded thinking like this? With brains like this, it's amazing you can find your mouths with your forks.

Gary is looking a things from a very narrow lens and does not really study cause and effect. He creates data and theory to support his narrative. Black people as a whole, while suffering Jim Crow, racism, soft exclsuion still managed to find stability in America. It wasn't fun, but it was functional. It was the Daleys and LBJ that threw a gas can and match on the whole things. Welfare and dual parent welfare rules, warehousing people in high rise ghettos, importing drugs into the inner city. This was all Democrats in the 50's and 60's and it was purposeful. That's when crime exploded, that's when fatherlessness exploded, that's when drugs and gangs exploded, its when murder exploded, its when the breakdown of civil society exploded. But hey, they got a lot of votes out of it, so I guess it was worth it.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

A reminder, during the depression, poor people weren't particularly prone to being violent or criminal. And somehow, early in the 20th century, blacks managed to have higher rates of marriage and participation in the labor force than whites. How do you suppose that was possible unless the current trends are simply a matter of choices?

What does this have to do with we who are not part of the police department or city planners. You are essentially implying that we are racist by extension even though most of us had nothing to do with any of this.

I think you totally missed the point. You have boiled this down to one cause....racism. Who makes the choice to impregnate women and take off more..... blacks, whites, or asians? Someone provided a graph above. I lived in the Avenues in South Central LA and remember when the blacks moved into the neighborhood. They were great people and good neighbors. What happened with subsequent generations? There was a breakdown of the family units and the abdication of parenting or no parenting. These kids gravitated to another "family" which were the gangs to get validation. When you have a single parent or one that has abdicated responsibility you get nothing but trouble. Again, whose fault is that? I did not cause a woman to have multiple kids from several different fathers and then not parent them and get paid for doing this. LBJ really lit the fuse on this by rewarding this behavior. He removed any incentives to improve their situation. It was easier to sit at home than have to work. He was a racist BTW.

When did I say all blacks? You have the BLM movement that is run by an element of the black community. Not all blacks are buying into this narrative. Most are trying to get by and get the American dream. BLM is the most vocal about black lives but I hear nothing but crickets when they kill their own. I say this out of sense of frustration. Can you not see the divisiveness and hypocrisy here? They are killing each other and you are claiming it is because of systemic racism. I really do not understand the relationship.

That’s why he thinks Marxism can work. Everything is a thesis, a report to him, he rarely considers human nature.

Are the statistics grouped by race or the result of their race?

You are arguing that the breakdown of the family unit is because of their race?

Are you arguing that because they are black they make bad decisions and don't care for their children?

Scary but GaryB is beginning to remind me of the movie The Fly. His genes are merging with that of Keen's favorite poster on this board. They are becoming one and the same!

It's happening to a lot of them. Scooby's doing the same shtick as Blast-hole. xx is doing the thread spam routine, just like 1978 did, and just like Karen, the dingbat, did before him.

No. That is not what I said. It has nothing to do with race. It is the denigration of the family unit and the aiding abetting of the democratic leadership that has rewarded unwed single mothers with more welfare for having kids. I came from a single parent who left us to fend for ourselves. I got involved with a group of kids white and black in SF that hung out with doing stuff we should not have been doing. I was very close to being locked up for thinks like petty theft and burglary. I was never caught but could have been. I was born out of wedlock myself. My mother had an abortion in the 50s when it was not so fashionable. She was a functioning alcoholic. You come to decision points in your life. If you do not make the right decision the world turns to shit. This happens both in white and black communities. Just west of where I live is the meth capital of the NW. Things hit the black community even harder because LBJ tried to buy them off. As long as he could control them he knew he had their vote. He really did not care about them or their welfare.

Yes, systemic racism has nothing to do with your personal feelings or beliefs towards a group. I gave you an example of systemic racism. HWY 105 was delayed for almost 50 years. The low income predominantly black area was ignored while resources were diverted to fund the development of the suburbs. As a result, people living in the area were disadvantaged. Police, health care, education, investment, property values etc. declined.

Yes, I don't believe that Blacks have a gene that causes them to disdain the family unit, resort to crime, or not being able to float.

You're a medical professional and you are arguing that the behavior is not environmental, but genetic? In other words, a Black Harvard Doctor will bolt on his family because it's how God made them?

I'm glad that LBJ and you had one thing in common.

What is the narrative that all blacks are not buying into? You write that LBJ rewarded their behavior of settling to live in a public housing project. He removed any incentive for them to improve their situation. In other words, they choose to live in an area where police response is 4x slower, where teachers can't commute in a reasonable time, where their neighborhoods are blocked out with red-lines to prevent investments. Yup, they did it all to themselves.

I’m stating a fact.....the obliteration of the two parent family has had severely negative effects on the inner city youth. This is undeniable.
