So this kid sets a commitment date six months in advance?
Is this the next wave of recruiting fads, to set a commit date six months out?

I will apologize now Chris, but I don't believe you will follow through with this timeline.
I am hoping you do, but things can change between now and September..

Just wondering?? What does commitment day mean? He’s not signing an LOI.

Might start seeing earlier commitment dates with early signing period and more kids enrolling in January

@Pudly76 much about nothing, he is just going to reserve his spot at his respective school until the ENSD if his school allows him to sign early.

Ask JT Daniels, PG, Raymond Scott, Kana'i and Dedich about commitment.

Just because commitments don't carry the same exact weight as they once did, there is not need to paint every kid with the same brush. If they change their mind after a commitment, does that me they lack commitment or integrity? What about when USC drops a kid?

Bottom line, things change and recruiting is no different.

You always put words in people’s mouths? I never mentioned his integrity, nor questioned it. Many times, when kids commit early there is often a second guessing..at this point or even September, there’s not much value as other schools continue their relentless pursuit. We flip kids, we drop kids, kids drop us...family lives change, and people get sick. So what? What’s it mean? Not much until they sign.

Wasn't trying to put words in your mouth at all, I was answering your question and making a general statement about many people's attitudes towards kids now a days. Wasn't necessarily directed to you. But your question seems rhetorical as hell. Why announce at all is what you are implying, or am I wrong? What does it mean? It means a lot to a lot of kids and you can be damn sure it means a lot to USC if Chris commits.

And I don't always put words in people's mouths at all.

For every recruit you name, there is another one that would fit the opposite bill @bestlakersfan.
Since we are taking it there, a commitment is nothing more than a reservation to a certain school that either party (recruit or school) can cancel at anytime for any reason, or for no reason at all.

Of all the posters on this site, I would not expect a response like that from someone like you.
I believe you knew exactly what I meant, but it is nothing I can do about it now other than state what I meant and leave it at that..
