SC baseball is a flagship sport. 3-12 in the last 15 games. Going to Oregon State for three this weekend. UCLA after that. Gillespie won for many years with 11.7 scholarships. You need 11.7 outstanding players and fill in the rest. I like the spirit of our team, but we do not have the top guys to get to Omaha, much less a Super Regional / Regional. Based on the current roster, next year looks awful too. Hubbs has signed guys for next year like Pratto, H. Crouse , Hurt that will never make it to campus.....shades of Kreuter recruiting. Tough to be a Trojan baseball fan. Based on the lack of comments on this board, only a few of us left. Since Gillespie "retired", Athletic Dept. has never conducted a national search. Can you imagine Vandy, Stanford, Miami, Rice with only one regional since 2005 and on a 3-12 losing skid. LSU at 3-12....don't think so. No momentum, no improvement. Still rooting for Hubbs and the team, but it doesn't look good.

lol talk about a bitter irony. There is a building at USC called Kaprelian Hall which is not too far from Dedeaux Field.
