    Texas has a new staff.
Everyone saw the difference one year made especially at WR.

A lot of you are calling for Tee Martin to step down.
More than that your WR the last few years with Tee Martin as OC have not been the same as when Tee Martin was just the WR coach.

The WR have always been good. Two years ago he had Juju, who is now one of the better producing receivers in the NFL. He also had Deontay Burnett turn into a highly productive WR. And now he has arguably one of the top receiving cores in the Pac12 and possibly nation. People are calling for him to step down as OC, specifically play calling. I don’t think many would question his ability to coach WR when reviewing what he’s done at the position since he’s been in LA.

Last thing, production doesn’t equal talent or potential. For example, just because Pittman or Vaughns don’t have the numbers doesn’t mean they aren’t great WR or improving.

Your WRs are not that good
They do not have the physical strength to get away from physical corners nor the speed.

    Except for St Brown.
He is great. What about in another two years?

    On the other hand.
Texas' WR in just one year took a major jump with the new WR coach and new S&C program.

Point is you can attempt to say that Tee Martin developed all these players from 2011-2015.

Since 2016 it has been a totally different story.

Last year San Darnold's biggest issue was WR play.

A lot of things can change in the next few weeks.
    I wouldn't count out Alabama.

I think unless USC can show that it can beat ND or if Texas falls on its face McCoy will end up in Austin.

Just going by what his Dad is saying.
Maybe I am reading the situation wrong but it seems like his Dad is the one making the choices

The WR’s have continuously out-run coverage all year. On top of that Michael Pittman is probably the strongest WR in the PAC-12 and more.

You really think a kid will think a program that shows improvement in 1 year at his position as better than a program that has had top draft picks at his position for 5 previous years?

I have noticed that USC fans overvalue their players.

Pittman should be a beast. I am not going to deny that but he hasn't shown that potential.

Texas went through this at the position for a long time. Bringing in top recruited WRs who did not live up to their potential.

Point is USC has a WR coach who is also their OC.
Since becoming the OC in 2016 SC WRs have not looked as good.

Texas on the other hand has two WR coaches.
One was at Ohio St and help to develop Michael Thomas into a beast WR.
Both of the starting WRs at Texas are having career years.

A lot of this has to do with the strength and conditioning program.

Difference is Texas can afford to hire any WR coach in the country they want. SC is cutting cost because they don't have the revenue coming in from the PAC 12.

I don't put much value into anything until the LOI is signed but this is the story of Bru McCoy as of today

    Top schools: USC, Texas, Washington

Texas is the leader for McCoy. I repeat: Texas is the leader for the nation’s top athlete and that wasn’t true when he stepped on campus for his official visit when the Longhorns hosted USC. Texas wowed McCoy with its performance on the field and the bond between the players on the team. Current Texas commit De’Gabriel Floyd is leading the charge for McCoy and is doing a great job helping to recruit his fellow Californian. McCoy can play wide receiver or outside linebacker and would immediately be the best player in Texas’ class.

Your attacks on Clay Helton and the coaching staff make it easy.

The coaching instability at USC is making them prime targets to have recruits taken from them.
To tell the truth most people were banking on LSU. They proved everyone wrong early against Miami.

Why? We got all the guys we wanted last year as I can remember. Olijah and Isaac specifically. It’s the horns that keep getting neutered by the sec.

    What are you talking about.
Texas finished with the #3 class last year and will finish ahead of SC again for 2019.

You really think USC couldn't use that big LT at Oregon right not.
Didn't Sewell tell SC thanks but no thanks.
    Get with reality, brother.

You really are a silly goose. You slide your conversations all over the place. But then that’s what trolls are good at since they just throw stuff at the wall just to see what sticks.
Your post mentioned bama. Not ducks, not horns. Bama. And while we’re talking about who could use who’s players, seems like we did ok with some rb’s from down your way..ha!
    Troll on little doggie.
Bru is staying home, all the hot air you wanna blow doesn’t change a damn thing troll.

To keep you up to date on Bru McCoy.

I guess he will be visiting Austin and UT again on an unofficial visit.

Texas wide receivers coach Drew Mehringer is expected to go see five-star Mater Dei (Calif.) athlete Bru McCoy in game action later this week. I am told that things are continuing to progress with McCoy and that he and his family are still planning to make another trip to Austin before the end of the season. I am also told that Texas is doing a phenomenal job with his parents and that they love what UT is doing on the field. While USC will be tough to the end, Texas has made this an extremely interesting recruitment and one they could ultimately win.
