Those dudes make plays and act like they've been there before (which they have... year after year). No fancy dancing.

Pete's era was awesome but I'm glad I go back to the 70's and the McKay, Robinson era. We were like that (Bama) too back then.

One of my favorite nostalgia games is 1978, SC v Alabama, in Tuscaloosa. We soundly beat them 24-14 (and honestly it wasn't that close).

Today, Bama is the standard and I want SC to be just like them. However, the school Pres. and BOT doesn't inspire me to confidence. I think Bohn is doing what he can do and I like him. We'll see.

They make great plays, jump right back and line up to get the next play not celebrate each 1st done like it's a championship.

SC has learned from Pat Haden to “win the right way”. Pretty awesome sight, that Clay Helton squad!

Wow. Being beaten 52-24 you would think that Buckeye football board would be on fire with scores of OSU fans calling for Ryan Day to be fired but it's not. Oh wait a minute. Buckeye supporters actually know how to calmly process information without freaking out like a chicken with its head cut off unlike Helton haters.

But Petes "dynasty" was only 3 years, and his ego and arrogance ended it as soon as it began. Saban's is 13 years and still going strong.

Pete Carroll didn't have an ego nor was he arrogant. Saban has been fortunate not to have a greedy stupid selfish POS Reggie Bush complete with his shithole parents to torpedo his program.

You're kidding, right? CPC may have earned it, but I don't know anyone with a bigger ego. Ask Norm Chow about that.

Haha, Pete screwed his own program after promoting Sarkiffin. Recall Matt complaining about play calls

Saban often complained about Kiffen's play calls...in public view and proceeded to chew his ass on camera...it happens.

What I find informative is how much Saban has changed to keep current. He had McCarron just hand off years ago, and played tough D, while running Trent Richardson, Derrick Henry, Mark Ingraham, Eddie Lacy play after play.

Now QBs and wide receivers have the spotlight at Alabama. Saban learned to innovate, to change with the times.

Helton? He couldn’t innovate a cup of coffee, cream and sugar would bewilder him.
