    Anyone know if Alijah Vera-Tucker is returning? He graded out as our best lineman this year. If he goes, we lose 3 of our starting linemen but look at the bright side, then we can claim that as an excuse for poor results and say it's a rebuilding year again.

    Where he will receive another year of top notch coaching and get himself more ready for the NFL. I'm sure we have all heard Colin Cowherd say that NFL general managers look at the USC players and weigh that against them having received no good coaching while in school. better to get out of here as soon as you can if you will be drafted high.

    I will be very surprised if he is drafted "high".
    High= first 3 rounds

    Good decision by Austin. He will develop much more in the NFL where he will get proper development to harness his talent.

    Spending another year at USC with these mediocre coaches would be a waste of time.

    All the best to him in the NFL. Fight On Austin!

    Well, you might want to counsel Austin because this is what he is hearing from people who do this for a living; "Early 2020 mock drafts have pegged the 6-foot-6, 310-pound Jackson anywhere from a Top 15 selection to an early second-round pick. He is currently ranked the No. 36 overall prospect in the CBS Composite 2020 prospect rankings and the No. 6 offensive lineman in a top-heavy tackle class. "

    That is a lot of money to give up. He has a high ceiling and athleticism that is hard to match. Didn’t he run the 100m in high school? I hope he gets paid

    Don't begrudge him for leaving, but he is 100% not ready. Epenesa ate him up and so will the edge rushers in the pros. He needs another year of college seasoning!

    As shown by Zach Banner, Chad Wheeler and Chuma Edoga, linemen at USC need to GTFO as soon as they can. Those guys are all playing in the NFL while looking like nothing special on the field at USC. I would agree he needs another year of college seasoning under a competent coach with the right philosophy. At USC, he needs to escape now.

    Don’t forget his sister had serious medical problems which I’m sure is a huge financial burden on the family while also causing emotional strain.

    I’m sure he wants to do everything he can to help her.

    I wish him nothing but the best at the next level.

    Although he definitely is not ready, staying around with the clueless idiot definitely would not help. He might drop lower staying another year with bad coaching. I say he leave now, good move.
