Very sad to hear that, especially today. I used to run into Max's dad at a local dog park. We talked about the local high school football scene, USC, and of course his son. Such a nice family and how horrible to go through today with such a tragedy.

    Fight On forever Max!

I haven't seen yet where he was. All the trails here in south OC have been great conditions for AM hikes, totally overcast. Just yesterday, I was outside chatting with some USC neighbors and we noticed the rescue helicopter headed toward the canyon, then back toward hospitals not 10 minutes later. Not completely uncommon since they practice a lot, and that pattern, but we noticed and talked about it. Doubtful it had anything to do with him but hiking and biking out here can be dangerous.

That is where we saw the rescue chopper coming and going from.
    It's a very good thing.
