Apparently I'm not the only one...HH just called me

I canceled my C&G via email about 10 minutes after the formal announcement. My wife and I discussed it this morning and I had the email ready.

5 minutes ago the 213 740 call shows up...I answer. Obviously a stressed work study student following up on my cancelation. Wanted to know if I would reconsider and give it sometime. I said I have and the answer was no. I could hear others talking and phones ringing...have no idea what that means but seemed like a lot of activity and not the kind when you announce you hired Urban Myer. I did ask if I was the lone wolf here, she said " uh no" "it's a little weird here today"

I thanked her for the call and wished her success and said Fight On! She then quickly says " is there anything I can write you would like them to read?" I said who is " them?" She said her boss who is a Associate AD. I said sure " tell that person her bosses hire was a huge mistake for the school" And I hung up.

Well thats a chunk of money to waste elsewhere.

 

Nice. I dont think I ever got a call from the fundraising office ever since I told them I was an EMT struggling to make ends meet. For some of you that might work if you want them to stop stealing your money.

I decided to buy a nice boat of my own with my extra money now freed up. And next year, I'll buy an airplane instead of the Loge at the Coli.

I hope they are swamped with cancelations. Bohn is an idiot, plain and simple. If he can't understand anything else, I hope he can read a graph that shows revenues dropping through the floor.

If they won't fire Helton, then starve them all out.

A friend of mine who I spoke to earlier today said a USC website was conveniently down when he went to edit or pull his donation (or some kind of a funding) from it. They probably anticipated the backlash and had it in "maintenance" mode or something.

 

It's easy to remember to fly Fire Helton banners off of the back.

 

I am still rooting for my Trojans. At least Helton is a good man.

Once upon time, I would agree. He is now just another chaser of the money and will do whatever it takes to keep it pouring in.

Good men don't grovel, openly and gratuitously kiss ass and frankly pretend to be something they are not. Clay Helton is not a good head coach for USC football. I would venture to say there are literally hundreds of coaches that could have stumbled around and found the wins he has and had the good sense to get out of the way and let Darnold play football.

I think he genuinely cares about the team and they care about him. I hope he proves you wrong.

 

A good man knows how to follow through on their promises in the public and own up to them. When they aren't met.

He's never done such a thing. Maybe my criteria for "good man" is different than some.

To me, he's a facade of a "good man" without really knowing what that truly means. Because in of itself it's an empty word. And his actions as an HC don't speak of a self-accountable person, but a person that lacks the ability to be consistent on anything and it reflects in the team at large.

They reflect his "good man" persona.

 

So then let him be the team mom.

 

He surely doesn't show it with his coaching. Nor with his inability to field a disciplined team that can play for four quarter of football or develop them into NFL prospects. Like he promised.

 

He is a liar. He plays favorites and ruins the potential of certain players.

Is that a good man?
