    As far as I am concerned AOC is a useless windbag that needs to just go away. She is outright stupid.

    OK, well, you should do all you can to see that she is defeated. Donate the max to her opponent and start door belling. Because that it how it works in a representative republic. She isn't going to "just go away" because a bunch of misogynists attack her. And those who attack her are only helping her.

    No it isn't. I only started posting on a regular basis a couple of weeks ago. What you represent now, vs a few cherry picked quotes a few years ago mean little. The ultra left in here fully support you. That says much more than a few cherry picked quotes. And you have never apologized. And you came up with the crap about your kids being better than the conservative's kids on here. Again, if you compared mine with yours, there is no contest. Mine picked great and honorable career paths, and quite frankly, I would bet, better looking and bigger and since this is a sports site, better athletes

    Yoho is retiring at the end of this session. Prior to his remarks, his district was considered safely red. But...

    His resignation from Bread for the World was pretty brutal. Instead of the Christian organization simply allowing him to slink out the back door they issued a scathing press release to include:

    "...read sought his resignation as an action that reaffirms our commitment to coming alongside women and people of color, nationally and globally, as they continue to lead us to a more racially inclusive and equitable world."

    Is Florida up for grabs?

    I don't know about the misogynistic hypocrite's district, but the state sure is up for grabs in the EC:

    for the record I voted straight republican for 30 years until Clinton balanced the budget and Bush unbalanced it. The issue of traditional republicans was free trade and fiscal responsibility. Modern day republicans only care about nationalism, anti abortion, and liberal gun laws. That is why I am out, the party changed.

    I ton balanced the budget because of a republican congress. Do you remember his speech on the state of the union when the dems got trounced and proclaiming the era of big government is over? Yeah parties change, but the dems have been increasingly the tax and spend party.

    I love how republicans like to take credit for balancing the budget, but SOMEHOW could not do it under Bush or Trump. I vote based on results.

    Sure you do.

    Under Clinton the debt ceiling increased:

    • by $225 billion to $4.37 trillion in April 1993;
    • by $530 billion to $4.9 trillion four months later, in August 1993;
    • by $600 billion to $5.5 trillion two years and seven months later, in March 1996;
    • and by $450 billion to $5.95 trillion 17 months later, in August 1997.

    FTR, the GOP has been prolife for a long time. But, yes, under Trumpism the party has changed. They no longer care about the deficit, states' rights, strong alliances and being the world's leader, standing up to autocrats, free trade, family values or being the shining city on the hill.

    So, if he had referred to her as an "F'ing A-hole" it would have been ok? I'm not sure the use of a word historically attributed to females is the problem here. But maybe I'm wrong.

    It wouldn't have been "OK" but it would have been different. He still should be called out for it. I don't think any profanity is appropriate for our representatives (and that includes Talib.) But there is an added element when the attack is on one's identity. Calling Congresswoman Pressley an a-hole would be inappropriate. Calling her an n-word would be a whole other level of unacceptable behavior. I think the same applies in this case. This is beyond name calling -- there is vulgar misogyny behind it. I've certainly been called an a-hole on this board and I tolerate that. I draw the line at misogyny and obscene vulgarity.

    On my original point, I'm not sure if he was "overheard" saying this under his breath or if he said it in open forum (as most of the photos seem to be alluding). If the first, then he is showing some lack of self control - not that any one of us has not muttered something stupid that we should not have done. If the second, he is showing a lack of common sense and judgement and that is a real problem for a public figure.

    On your point just made, I did not realize that women were so offended by the "B" word that it could be equated to the "N" word. Are you sure that is accurate? Perhaps he should have substituted the word "shrew" as it would have taken out the "mothering out of wedlock" secondary connotation without radically changing his intent. Or would you also see that word as misogynistic?
