Anyone Think SC Will Make a Bowl Game?

We'll probably get another 3 to 5 losses before the season is up. I'm beginning to seriously doubt our chances.

Any Bowl less than the Holiday Bowl is simply a big waste of time.

 

Yes. I think we still have to a chance to reach 7-5 (my prediction for this season all along), IF we beat Utah. We definitely have the talent to eek out 7 wins and then lose in the Sun Bowl.

Ha! Seriously? Teams with a losing record have made bowl games. The bowl system is diluted so everyone can earn a participation trophy.

 

After sitting thru the Holiday bowl & cheering bad football why bother. My son & I were getting bored with Pete's Rose bowls, boy the good old days. Do you travel to see bad football? My son used to fly in for half the games at the Coli. After last nite at the farm he said not worth it to see bad football.

 

If USC is Bowl Eligible I would decline. Send a message to the players and staff, bowl games are earned! Not given. Besides, our goal is win the Pac-12 South, Win the conference, then go to a bowl we earned!

 

I think we will go to a bowl game but a lower one like the foster farms bowl

 

50/50 since they take teams with even 6-6 records. Nothing as good as a Chick Fillet thing though. More like some tertiary hotel chain bowl and a new dot com.

If it were me I would decline any invitation at this level.

 

As Blue Blood said, Helton wouldn't use the extra practices.

So what's the point of a lesser bowl, losing to a directional school, Kansas or Temple?

I don't see how this team wins another 5 games. I seems painfully obvious that we will be at a coaching deficit in virtually every encounter.

 

I was thinking Cal, Colorado, Oregon state and others were sure wins. Now I think maybe 1 of the Zona schools and maybe 1 of either Colorado or Cal.

Oregon state may be the only sure win we have. So I'll downgrade my critical 5-7 or 6-6 preseason prediction to 4-8. Omg. 4-8 at USC!!!!!
Utah state, Colorado, Arizona and Oregon state will be the wins. Awesome.

Somehow we are going to win 6 and make it to a bowl game. I just hope we can somehow win in salt lake this weekend since it will likely be the only game I attend this season. Making a trip to watch a loss is the worst.

Hey guys, we are all Trojans, this thread, in my opinion, should have been left buried and forgotten.

 

Sure this thread could be dead and buried. But it is hilarious! It is good to be reminded of things we have said/done in the past; keeps us humble.

 

From having a depression & no hope to the most exciting Rose Bowl I ever attended. I know no NC game but the rise of SC from NCAA hell was more a high. Fight On

 

A funny thing happened on the way to mediocrity...Sam Darnold and the D arrived.

 

It's all in good fun. I stuck with a possible 10-win season, but it's not like I didn't have doubts.

 

3 of the first 4 games were rough, but USC NEVER looked bad enough this year, even in their first game, to suggest that we might finish 1-11. Maybe 7-5, or even 6-6, but nowhere close to 1-11.
