Anyone have any transfer portal news?

With all of the changes to the coaching staff, post-signing day, I would expect to see some of those top recruits coming back to SC via the portal. Ala - Bru McCoy and Chris Steele.

Aren't we pressed for scholarships at the moment?
I believe we are in that space where we have to have someone leave in order for us to bring someone in?

I believe after our 2020 recruiting class, HCCH mentioned something about leaving a way spots open?

Last I heard there were two spots open. I'm not sure if that also accounted for guys who leave SC via the portal (like Velus).

I would just imagine that after spring practice, some of the early enrollees may find themselves not getting what they were promised. Or things aren't as rosy at the new location as they thought and might want to come back home to LA

Does anyone know if USC has contacted Jabril Cox? Is there any interest from either side?

Cox was supposed to take an official visit to LSU this weekend, but that won’t happen with recruiting on hold. I haven’t seen or heard of any real interest from USC.

It’s going to be really interesting to see how this recruiting postponement affects the grad transfer market. High school recruits can probably withstand the delay since they can wait until January to enroll or February to sign. But any grad transfer is going to want to be at his new school by the start of summer conditioning, ideally, and if they can’t take any official visits, that might make it really tough to make a decision.
