I'm going back to 10-2, with a pac 12 title and rose bowl appearance.

    11-2 or 12-0

South Champs, PAC 12 championship and Bowl game

Unless it's all fools gold, which is possible.

But that's how good this scheme could be for the players on this team at a high level, plug and play, even more so if the defense does their job. Could be a great season, not one team is unbeatable on the schedule.

The second half of the Stanford game was true domination, positives everywhere. Thought the halftime adjustments by the coaching staff was the best surprise. The defense started believing in itself and the offensive line was blasting open huge holes for our very skilled running backs. I am counting the hours until BYU game. There's no reason why we can't pick right up from where we left off. Confidence high. Fight On!

I'll upgrade from 8-4/9-3 to 10-2. Win the south and get ready for... WSU?

I'll move from 8-4 to 9-3. One of those losses will be to a team we shouldn't lose to (the Helton effect).

I hope they run the table and prove me dead wrong.

I predicted 9-3. I’m staying with it at least until after Utah. I said after the Fresno game that I wanted to see several good performances in a row before I could write the Fresno game off as “first game jitters”.

Still, I think Kedon’s performance against Stanford was far too good to be a one time fluke. He may not match that completion percentage, etc., every game, but I’m convinced he’s very good. Possibly Sam Darnold good.

Not to overlook BYU, they are dangerous. But I think we win that game, hopefully by a big score. Then I want to see how we match up against Utah and UW.

Slovis has given me legitimate hope for better than 9-3.

Utah, UW, ND, and Cal are the only teams that can slow down our offense. But UW and Cal do not have the offense to hang with us. So I am going with 10-2. Though I am worried about a shootout with Oregon.

I don't want to lose to Notre Dame. I'm calling it a win. We will be up for that one.

    I’m predicting 9-3

    Losses to Oregon, Utah, ND..

I know the offense can score enough points to win games but I have concerns with Clancy’s defense against mobile QBs.

I had 10-2 before the season started and after the Stanford game and UW loss to Cal at HOME, I'm leaning towards an 11-1, only loss coming to ND but only because it's on the road. However, I Don't think i'm ready to say definitively 11-1 until I see how we play against Utah. We beat Utah convincingly, I feel good about our chances at a suddenly less intimidating UW

    No change...

I had USC led by a true leader with moxie in Jack Sears the playmaker winning the conference and winning a major bowl game and finishing 12-2 but just missing the +1 pseudo-playoffs.

I had USC going 8-5 with JT Daniels, which included a bowl loss.

Hmm, with Slovis, another leader who's demonstrated some hutzpah, I'll just insert him into what I believe Sears would have done anyway and will spot KEDON at 12-2 and missing the +1 pseudo-playoffs.

Not sure that's the Helton effect. I remember even when we were elite that we would lose to a team we should have beaten. Remember losing to Oregon State? And others.

I still think this team is young, especially in the secondary. Agree with 9-3 with losses to UW, Oregon, and ND (Great QBs will be able to attack the secondary and score more points). We go to a bowl, win, and end up 10-3. More importantly, we look like a competitive team.
