Now that high school football has been cleared to play, maybe we will have a track season. People running, jumping, and throwing shit outside in the nice weather should never go away. earlandnic, 901 Club, dp4life and 3 others like this.

That being said and perhaps I'm mistaken, but it seems to be taking an extraordinarily long time for the track and field office to be completed? Isn't our first home meet scheduled to take place March 19-20th for the Trojan Invitational? It would be great if it were to be completed by the time of this event. Just sayin'

The number of volunteers for the meet is scaled way back to a half dozen or so. BTW, SC is hosting the PAC-12 meet this year as well.

Even at the high school level, parents of athletes in OC aren't allowed to watch depending on the school district's rules. I have yet to actually watch my son run a xcountry race. I'm hoping that by the time track comes around, I'll get my regular volunteer spot. What really sucks for traditional spring sports like track, football is now taking over weight rooms, tracks, and other training resources. Add in soccer, field hockey, and everything else all in 1 semester and it's a cluster f---.

I do hope they will have attendees even if it's limited. My son is competing tomorrow....high school...1st meet in a year. Each athlete can have 2 attendees, athletes have to provide their own transportation, and they must depart the field as soon as their event(s) is over. It's better than nothing but track families show up early, cheer every event, and stay until the meet is over.
