Former players show up to support team

A group of former USC players attended practice on Thursday to show support for the current Trojans players as they prepare to travel to Notre Dame for the game on Saturday against the Irish.

The group included former stars such as Keyshawn Johnson, Willie McGinest, Chris Claiborne, Keith Rivers and Jeff Byers.

“We always talk about the Trojan family but to actually see it like this is very unique,” said interim USC coach Clay Helton. “What makes it special is that it wasn’t us reaching out to them, it was them reaching out to us this week to ask what they could do for these players. That’s what makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.”
