They ended the spring the same way they started it.
Everyone knew USC’s Trojans had a solid quarterback, a collection of flashy, young receivers, an emerging breakaway threat at tailback and a beefy, improving offensive line. These guys are primed to score plenty of points.
Yeah, the skeptics were saying, but what happens when the other team has the ball?
That was the key question heading into the spring and the one that remains the biggest mystery now that all the fun and dynamic scoring plays of Saturday’s Spring Game slowly meld into the warm, laid-back vibes of another Southern California summer.
