Senior QB Mike Bercovici (70-of-113, 61.9%, 799 yds, 7 TD, 1 int in 2015), who slung the last-second Hail Mary in last year’s USC defeat, directs the Sun Devils offense and has an excellent 7-to-1 TD pass/interception ratio. Senior WR D.J. Foster (16 rec, 122 yds, 7.6 avg, 1 TD in 2015, plus 20 tcb, 97 yds, 4.8 avg), who has 4,184 career all-purpose yards and has a reception in the past 43 games, tops the team in pass catching and also provides a threat as a rusher. He is about to become just the fourth player in NCAA history with at least 2,000 career yards rushing (2,172) and receiving (1,996). Sophomore RB Demario Richard (56 tcb, 298 yds, 5.3 avg, 2 TD in 2015, plus 8 rec, 178 yds, 22.2 avg, 2 TD) is ASU’s leading runner and ranks 19th nationally in all-purpose running (158.7, third in Pac-12), and then there are senior WR Devin Lucien (13 rec, 147 yds, 11.3 avg in 2015), a transfer from UCLA, and multi-threat junior RB De’Chavon Hayes (9 tcb, 13 yds, 1.4 avg in 2014, plus 6 rec, 13 yds, 2.2 avg and 6 KOR, 150 yds, 25.0 avg and 6 PR, 25 yds, 4.2 avg). The Sun Devil defense, in the national Top 10 and leading the Pac-12 in pass defense (134.7, ninth nationally) and tackles for loss (8.7, 10th nationally) this season, features soph LB Christian Sam (29 tac, 3.5 for loss, 3 sack, 1 FF in 2015), who is 20th nationally in sacks (1.0, first in Pac-12), plus senior DB Jordan Simone (29 tac, 5.5 for loss, 1 sack, 2 int, 1 dfl in 2015) and LB Viliami Moeakiola (26 tac, 5.5 for loss, 1 sack in 2015), who both are 19th nationally in tackles for loss (1.8, first in Pac-12)
