6 to watch in bowl practices

When Holiday Bowl practices start up at USC later this month for the team’s Dec. 30 matchup with Wisconsin, it should provide a good chance to get a closer look at the future. Coaching staffs typically utilize the workouts that take place early on to give extended reps to some of the younger, less-experienced members of the team. And with Clay Helton having just taken the reins as the full-time head coach of the Trojans, there’s little doubt he wants to take advantage of the extra time on the field afforded to his team in every way imaginable.
