Trojans have Irish right where they want 'em

by Greg Katz LOS ANGELES – With a stunning coaching change at the top, the unranked USC Trojans (3-2, 1-2 Pac-12) have the No. 14 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (5-1) right where they want’em. If I were from South Bend, I’d be clutching my rosary beads, repeatedly chanting Hail Marys, and praying that the “real” Trojans don’t show up this Saturday evening in Notre Dame Stadium. Now the Irish will be totally confused and won’t know what the hell to expect on Saturday evening in South Bend with interim head coach Clay Helton replacing Steve Sarkisian, who has been placed on an indefinite leave of absence on Sunday. And remember, interim coach Clay Helton is undefeated as a Trojans interim coach, having guided the Trojans to an exhilarating 45-20 victory in the 2013 Las Vegas Bowl.
