Ruffin coming back strong

LOS ANGELES -- Sometimes it’s hard to believe when a player says that a serious injury and surgery has made him a better player, but that’s exactly how USC Trojans junior outside linebacker Jabari Ruffin sees it.
So much has been expected from Ruffin, but thus far in his brief Trojans career he still resides somewhat in the potential category as opposed to the production category. However, this big, fast and talented linebacker truly believes that his surgery for torn left knee ligaments suffered during fall camp last season has been a blessing.
