Default Valerie Jarrett: "..we realize conditions are actually far worse", Meet the Press

Quote:
Meet the Press, October 18, 2009

GREGORY: But first, with the view from the White House, the president's senior adviser Valerie Jarrett.
Welcome back to MEET THE PRESS.

MS. VALERIE JARRETT: Well, thank you, David. It's a delight to be here.
GREGORY: Good to have you here. Let's first talk about the economy, and here was a headline that played prominently this week from The Wall Street Journal: "Wall Street On Track To Award Record Pay," expanding bonus pools and raking in big profits. And yet here's a picture of what is now called the Obama economy, since he's come into office, and let's show it on the screen here. The debt is up 12 percent, it's now at $11.9 trillion. The deficit's now at $1.4 trillion. Unemployment at 9.8 percent, up 36 percent since he took office. And jobs, 4.2 million jobs lost since the president has taken office. Wall Street's healthier, but the American worker is not.

MS. JARRETT: Well, that's right. And--but I think we have to take a step back, David, and let's remember the conditions that the president inherited, a global meltdown, and we now realize that it was actually far worse than we realized at the time when he came in office in January. And what the president did is take very serious steps to get our economy back on track. He has pulled us back from the precipice and as a result of that--we were losing 700,000 jobs a month, that has decreased steadily over the course of the last nine months, and we are beginning to see signs of hope. But the unemployment rate is still much too high, and the president will not be satisfied, as he has said time and time again, until every single American who wants to work has a job.
dinkum: I've heard just about the exact words come out of mouths of at least 10 top advisors to Obama on various entertainment talk shows including Meet the Press --"We just/now realize that the economy was much worse....".

They also read the same words in their speeches as do the President and key Members of Congress. I have neither read nor heard any leading Republican or Democrat actually confess to learning fourth grade arithmetic including the concept of zero.

I use the word "confess" because knowledge and intent (mens rea) requires some level of rationality, awareness and, as on national fourth grade arithemtic tests, knowledge. If key advisors and the President knows something about addition, subtraction, multiplication by zero, then they would know what to do about the systemic errors in arithmetic underpinning --like quicksand -- the #1 Superpower -- the United States of America -- best economy in the whole world.

MS. JARRETT: Well, every morning, as you know, the president meets with his economic advisers, and the first thing he says to them is, "What are we doing to tackle the unemployment rate?"

There are a range of suggestions that are being considered right now by his economic team, and we'll see what we come forward with.

We're consulting with the business community, we're consulting with everyday Americans who are struggling. We're trying to figure out what can we do to create an incentive to invest in our country and make our country strong again.
dinkum: "Range of suggestions" means to me that they are arithmetic illiterates who:
  • reject the concept of zero,
  • believe that zero value securities with long strings of numbers on them are as good as gold, and,
  • believe there is no such thing as pluses and minuses when it comes to equity/net worth of individuals, legal entities and especially insolvent and illiquid banks from whom the US borrows trillions and trillions of dollars.
If I ask 100 analyst/trader global bankers with all skin pigmentations, all religious and sexual orientations what to do re the US economy, I would be shocked and awed if even one of them would not state the same thing. Absolutely, positively
  • no "range of suggestions"
  • no payments of NEGATIVE government budgets to corrupt zombie banks hundreds of billions of dollars NEGATIVE net worths
  • no front running by G-20 governments with insider information
  • no hyper-inflation to pay creditors and savers 10 cents to 25 cents on the dollar
  • no "moonbeam" scams spending governments budgets while banking system is so far in the hole that they can't lend money to borrowers needing working capital to retain jobs in their communities
  • most importantly, no get-filthy rich-quick government payments for public companies to lay off employees so their stocks will rise like zombies from their graves.
RB, WF, DV and other multiple handles, the concept of zero was the same when I was in grammar school in the '40s. Sorry, but key definitions of a clinically psychotic person includes:
  • loss of contact with reality
  • hallucinations
  • delusional beliefs
  • extreme personality and thought disorders
  • extreme hostility, suspicion, hallucination, grandiosity etc.
  • paranoia
95%+ of US policy makers and MSM pundits they are so far beyond their professional competencies that they speak incomprehensively in "word salads" -- just like Obama, Jarrett leading Members of Congress and what my banking mates call the "school kids" -- Obama's key economic appointees.

There is one alternative theory re those in the Administration and Congress who qualify for the bumper sticker on their car, "I thank my teachers for my inability to add and subtract".

Politicians and their appointees perjure under oath and lie to the public about the economy to keep the campaign funds coming in while protecting their pensions and staying out of prison.

Instead of lawyers, they hire Hollywood anarchists such as Michael Moore to perpetuate their Ponzi Scheme economy with zombie banking system by blaming Wall Street for their failure to supervise, regulate and enforce.

Remember, the three key bond rating firms -- Moody's, Fitch and Standard & Poor -- key defense under oath in federal court is that their ratings are opinions protected by the free speech provisions of the first amendment and they simply have the opinion that fourth grade arithmetic and the concept of zero doesn't exist in America.

I prefer to remain in the real world than pray for hope to those in some alternative reality.
