Hopefully it works out for Justice. I read a quote last week where Hugh Douglas said it didn't look like he had anymore fight in him after being dominated by Osi.

Lots of people down here say Hugh Douglas didn't have any more will to fight after the Jags signing bonus check cleared.
This isn't a good sign for Winston, that's for sure.
Fight On Winston!!

Justice has always been overhyped and underachieving. He was barely the 3rd best guy on his own college O-line.
Typical combine warrior. Reminds me of a great quote by an old coach "Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane"

Like I said before that draft, Deuce should have been taken well ahead of Justice.

Justice pre-1 year suspension was a top pick.
Justice post-1year suspension was overhyped and underachieving.
He never recovered from that year off.

You mean he never recovered from being an immature and irresponsible jerk?

I actually cannot agree with that statement.
When I was at SC I knew a guy who was on full academic scholarship who shot another student in the ass with a similar pellet gun. The other student was walking in street and this guy leaned out of the 3rd floor window of the Honors Dorms (no less) to fire a shot because he was playing sniper or something stupid like that.
All he had to do as punishment was write a reflective paper.
Justice didn't even shoot somebody with the pellet gun and he was suspended for a year.

let's not act like he is an angel.... he also was caught soliciting a prostitute.

I know. I also know someone who was a student and a Student Conduct Judge. The school admins who are their advisers basically dictate what rulings to make on cases.
One student only has to write a paper for shooting another student with a pellet gun, while another student is kicked out of school for a year for propositioning a prostitute before he entered USC (on his 18th birthday) plus pointing a pellet gun at a student as a prank.
That doesn't make sense to me. Unless we believe that athletes should be treated differently than other students (worse).

How bad does it look when the player that solicited a prostitute also has a incident with a pellet gun? :yikes: :ashamed:

Equal to the guy who actually harmed another student with a pellet gun, IMO.
The punishments don't fit the crimes. I don't see how you kick one guy out of school versus the other (non-athlete) guy only writing a reflective paper.

Let's be honest, there were probably some arrests of SC fb players that would have been enough of a reason to expel athletes of different sports.
At least you can't cry preferential treatment to FB players with Justice's cases.
Is it fair? No.

Well maybe he doesnt have any fight left in him. But he has been thought of as SOFT since he joined the Eagles and long before the embarrassing Giants game.

inequal justice (pardon the pun) is greater than equal injustice, do not mistake the underpunishment of one with the over punishment of another. If you want consistency then the other student should have been expelled.
Carroll has show very good judgement with his players and if he and the administration felt Justice should be off the team, then I suspect they used sound reasoning. How does Justice repay Carroll's trust in brining him back? he declares early and now sucks as a result. Screw Justice.

Wow! I guess there aren't too many Justice fans on this board. When I hear about his lack of success in the NFL despite his tremendous athleticism, I'm reminded of an article or maybe a post saying something to the effect that while he was really good at football, he never really enjoyed it. Also, that article/post described him as an extremely introspective person who thought deeply about his future, but more about life after football.

This seems counter-intuitive. If he didn't like football and thought about his future, then how about finishing school and re-paying Carroll's loyalty, instead he goes pro is awful, and helps to damage the reputation of USC's athletes as NFL prospects. So yeah not much love for Justice on my end. Outside of the 2 OJ's, probably my least favorite Trojan.
