Don't understand that strategy. Going against a much deeper bench and we don't give our guy's a blow? Don't try to slow down a K State run? Hmmm, well, still proud of this team. Hope some of the bigs stick around another year. On to football. practices next week....

Let's hope that LSU calls and Mike Montgomery comes in to rebuild this program.

thats a little too extreme. i have to admit, this was NOT a good coaching preformance by floyd.
but to insinuate any subtle message of ousting him is downright obsurd.

Sorry, I completely disagree. With all of the TV timeouts, the guys get plenty of rest. When Wooden was coaching, he did not go deep into his bench, he usually played 7 players and no more...and they did not have the TV timeouts then.

How many times can he tell the guys to box out and crash the boards? This wasn't about coaching...this was all about effort, or the lack thereof.

I disagree. Guys were less athletic in Wooden's day and the pace of the game was different as well. Use the damn timeouts -- to at least try and change momentum. This reminded me of Floyd's letting that 16-point lead against UNC slip away last year, while ending the game with timeouts in his pocket. Everytime I jump on the Floyd coaching bandwagon, I fall off with a thud and find myself wondering. He's done some great things for the program in his three years here...:dunno:and then our team posts a flat, uninspired performance like this...http://wearesc.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif

Less athletic?
Tell you what, listen to a Jerry Tarkanian interview or coaching seminar...he'll tell you the same thing I just said.

We could have used a Wooden type of press. For the life of me, I don't understand why coaches don't use it more. It isn't that tough to teach and you can destroy teams that are more talented.

The players get too tired.
